Italian born Marcello Palumbo grew up in San Giugliano in Campagna, near Naples, and obtained a National Diploma in Building Science at the Instituto Andreozzi in Aversa, majoring in Quantity Surveying, Land Surveying and Structural Engineering.
Arriving in South Africa in 1988, he furthered his studies with courses in Land Surveying and Business Development and worked with DVG Construction and Filcon Projects.
In 2010 Marcello joined André Perold as a Joint-MD at the newly established CJP Projects, a company providing construction and project management services for Commercial and Residential Projects.
His past projects range from luxury houses and apartment blocks to offices and commercial developments.
Some Cape Town landmarks constructed under Marcello’s leadership are New Media House, The Orangerie, CPUT New Engineering Wing, The District, Canal Quays and the Rockwell.
Marcello is well-known in the Cape Town building fraternity and he attributes his success to his good working relations with clients, professional teams and staff and to his ability to gain insight into people and their needs.
